By implementing digital screens, Tre has successfully increased employee engagement and created a more dynamic work environment. With the help of creative elements like coffee machine communication and interactive games, Tre has effectively integrated digital signage into its daily communication.
In need for a more flexible digital screen solution
Tre is a telecom company that invests heavily in internal communication, with a workplace where creativity and innovation are the focus. They needed a more flexible solution that could handle both the distribution of important information as well as more playful elements. The goal was to increase engagement and encourage more people to use and appreciate the digital screens.
PLAYipp’s digital signage solution makes it easier
With the help of PLAYipp and IT partner Dustin, Tre has implemented a digital signage solution with 117 screens, which with ease handles creative and engaging elements. Tre installed screens on every floor of their offices so that all employees could access the information displayed on them.
Tre also recently signed up for 66 new licenses with PLAYipp, and Dustin again assisted in installing the screens in strategic locations throughout the office.

Better engagement with humor and activities
With intranet manager Henric Olofsson leading the way, the communications department noticed a significant difference in how employees read the information on the screens when elements of humor and activities were included. This has since become a permanent part of the screens. Here are a few of Henric’s, and the Tre employees’ favorites:
At the coffee machines, a mix of light-hearted and strategic information is displayed, aiming to spark conversations during or after a coffee break. Examples of content include «Word of the Day,» teasers linking to the intranet, upcoming events in 3Huset, or highlights from our social media. We often use video and animations to reinforce messages—both at the coffee machines and on the other screens.
(Note that these screens are not PLAYipp, but are integrated with the coffee machine and managed by Convini’s system—but it’s still a great way to use screens!)
Word of the day:
They introduce funny and sometimes unusual words or phrases on their screens. An example is «Pancake Breakdown,» which brings a smile and perhaps sparks a conversation among the employees.
Find Klas:
An interactive game where a gnome is hidden somewhere in the office, and employees are encouraged to find it by following clues displayed on the screens.
Target specific messages:
We can tailor messages by floor in 3Huset to increase relevance and engagement. The tech department gets one message, the sales organization another, and we can display shared information on all screens.
If needed, we can prioritize one message across all screens.
Countdown to events:
The screens are used to create excitement and anticipation for major events, such as new product launches. One example is a countdown to an iPhone launch, where the screens display a timer and relevant images to keep employees engaged.
