To connect your Microsoft Rooms screens with Microsoft Calendar, you must be an admin for your Microsoft organization.
Important: It may take up to an hour before rooms appear as selectable in PLAYipp after creating the connection. This delay is due to a limitation in Microsoft’s API.
How to create the Microsoft Calendar connection
- Click on Rooms in the PLAYipp menu
- Select Microsoft Calendar
- Log in with your Microsoft admin account
- Review the requested permissions and click Accept
Required permissions:
- Read organization information
- Read all company places
- Read and write calendars in all mailboxes
- Sign in and read user profile
The application needs permission to read and write to calendars so it can manage bookings for room displays.
Once connected, you can:
- Select a room when activating a screen
- Display room availability and booking information

If you do not yet have rooms set up in Microsoft Calendar, you will need to create them before they can be selected inside PLAYipp.
